How long does in office whitening take?
Each whitening treatment is individualized based on the clients needs and oral health. Typically, the procedure will be 45 minutes and up to 75 minutes in length. A full dental hygiene cleaning is preferred before whitening; 1 week in advance at most. However, anyone will be welcomed for whitening; client or not.
What should I eat/drink after whitening?
Limit smoking, coffee, tea, soda, wine, and other dark staining items preferably for 24-48 hours after treatment. Limit very cold/hot foods or drinks within two hours after whitening session. A small percentage of clients may feel some tooth sensitivity. It is typically short term and gone within 24-48 hours. We do offer solutions for those concerned about sensitivity.
Is whitening safe?
Redefined Smile uses a safe & effective European style formula. Our gel is plant/mineral based, vegan, gluten free, and peroxide free (if chosen). Professional whitening can last up to 3-6 months dependent upon on each persons diet, lifestyle, & maintenance protocols. Clients with heavy staining (wine, smoking, coffee, tea), can take a few sessions to see their optimal results. Clients can seek whitening weekly, monthly, or every couple months to achieve their desired result.
